FRAGILE X SERIES DAY FOUR: NOT LETTING FRAGILE X STOP ME FROM ACHIEVING!

Welcome to day 4 the last one! of my Fragile X series I hope you've enjoyed this and have found it helpful. Today's post is about not letting Fragile X stop me from achieving. My advice is to keep going with whatever you want to achieve and never give up!

Newsletter Articles
I have written a few articles for the Fragile X newsletter which I never thought would happen! but it did and I'm super proud! It's made a difference and other people can relate so they're not alone we're all in the same boat!. I have shared my employment troubles as I know I'm not alone! and also about my blog as it's new to some people.

Volunteering 8 Years
I started volunteering in 2010 and at the time I was very shy and quiet but over time I came out my shell with help from Brad the previous manager who left last year. I didn't think I'd still be there 8 years later it is a long time in a unpaid job but I can't do anymore than what I'm already doing I try my best at finding a job but it just isn't happening. Volunteering has made a a huge difference to me since I started it's helped a lot because I sometimes wonder where I'd be if I hadn't of started.

60,000 Blog Views
I can't believe I've reached 60,000 views! it blows my mind but I am super proud of it that I got to that huge number! I'm glad I made a blog because ever since I wrote about Fragile X it's really helped me and others and that makes me happy!

FRAGILE X SERIES DAY THREE: DAILY STRUGGLES

Welcome to day 3 of my Fragile X series today's post is all about daily struggles I hope this post helps and feel free to comment! I always reply.

Maths
I also struggle with maths unless I have a calculator! haha I think people forget that we can't do maths as in the past I've had someone suggest a job in the post office just because it's there. I don't understand it and I never will and it's not something I want to worry about!

Meeting People
Sometimes when I'm talking to people I don't always look at people but sometimes I do. I'm not being rude it's just something people with Fragile X do and we can't help it but we're still listening. I don't always speak first when I see people out I wait for them to see me or I don't like to interrupt peoples conversations.

Job Hunting
It isn't easy at all I've probably applied for millions of jobs over time and it still hasn't got me a job and I don't know why. I try my best but companies just don't want to know or they do but then they don't reply or I get a no. Sometimes it bothers me that I'm unemployed but then I think I have time to blog and watch crime docs!

FRAGILE X SERIES DAY TWO: EMPLOYMENT

Welcome to day 2 of my Fragile X series today's post is all about employment how hard it is, going to interviews and applying for jobs.

Interviews
These aren't my favourite thing to go to but I've been to many and some I thought went  well but then I heard nothing or some were terrible like at Fat Face when the woman laughed at me and as also chewing gum. Interviews aren't easy, they ask hard questions, I get nervous and can't get my words out.

Applying For Jobs
Applications aren't fun either especially if they're a questionnaire and after you've spent so much time on it you get a you were unsuccessful because you didn't get a certain score! how is that fair?! so many companies do things this way such as Next and Boots IT ISN'T A FAIR WAY OF FINDING OUT ABOUT SOMEONE. I also don't like the ones you have to fill in without adding your CV so annoying and time consuming.

Difficulties 
Applying for many jobs is draining and time consuming when you apply for so many and get no's all the time and then see them advertising a week later. I am always looking for online but most jobs are unreasonable hours so don't fit with the buses so I can't get there or back. These day's companies make a simple job sound so complicated when it's not!

FRAGILE X SERIES DAY ONE: 10 FACTS

Welcome to day 1 of my Fragile X series today I am sharing 10 facts all about Fragile X Syndrome I hope this post helps you and feel free to share it.

1. We don't always give eye contact but it doesn't mean we're rude or not listening.

2. It effects boys more than girls.

3. Fragile X is a rare genetic learning disability.

4. Some people can't read or write.

5. We can't do maths.

6. We all have different struggles.

7. Finding employment is hard.

8. Sometimes we can be more sensitive to things.

9. We get anxiety in social situations.

10. Meeting new people can be hard for us.
