DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF!

We all compare ourselves to others and honestly it does no good what so ever but we can't help it right? it's hard when others have already achieved finding a career or moved out etc. So today I'm sharing why we shouldn't compare ourselves and start to believe that things will get better.

1.Focus on YOU! it's important that you stop comparing yourself to others and start focusing on the things you want to do. Set maybe 1 or 2 goals the most important things you want to do but don't set too many because it will become overwhelming.

2.Believe in yourself because you can achieve anything you put your mind to! Don't listen anyone who tells you different tell them to get in the bin if they do.

3.Stay away from negativity so unfollow all the negative Nancy's on Facebook/twitter/Instagram etc and you'll feel much better! because no ones got time for them.

4.Stay positive I know it's hard sometimes but really try to see the good in things if it helps write them down and you'll feel happier and realise things aren't all bad.

5. NEVER GIVE UP! this is very important because I know how many times I've wanted to give up finding a job but I have keep going and so do you!

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: MAKING FRIENDS

Making friends has always been tough for me but it also might be for you as well so as part of my let's chat series I thought I'd chat about making friends. Let me know your experiences in the comments below I always reply.

I'm not the most sociable person and making friends for me is really hard but once I get to know someone I talk more. When I first meet someone I don't talk first, I wait for them to talk but sometimes it doesn't happen. I find it hard to straight up start a conversation I struggled at school and college to make friends because I'm shy, quiet and withdrawn and I don't have a lot of confidence so I guess they're a barrier.

I've since had jobs but not really made friends my time at Sainsbury's/M&S were ok but no one really talked to me and then when I was at B&M I did talk to a few people but not many talked to me and I didn't like the managers there either.

I'm not one to go out drinking or sit in the pub because I don't drink and I'm not a fan of going to pubs (well only if there's food! haha) I do like going out to places with my family but I do wonder if they worry about me not really having friends? At school and college I had friends but now I don't have contact with any of them.

I thought I'd make some through my jobs but I haven't, I also still volunteer and have made friends but they're not my age. I did date a guy there back in 2014/15 but we broke up and aren't friends now he doesn't work there anymore so I don't really see him.

Do you find it easy or hard to make friends?

Let me know in the comments below

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: BLOGGING

I started my blog in 2014 and have been blogging ever since I don't make money from it and I have recently received my first ever PR package from Soap and Glory! I still can't believe I was sent something!. I saw a tweet and decided to just give it a try and so I did and didn't think anything of it until I got a reply saying I was now part of there new campaign babes of glory.

I started my blog when I was unemployed as I needed something to do  (I am looking for a job again now) but anyway my blog is my hobby and I enjoy sharing my reviews, thoughts and posts on Fragile x. I am still learning about things and do wish to update it and improve it at some point.

My blog is small but I am proud I've reached over 40,000 views but I don't have a lot of followers which is something that sometimes bugs me. I know it's not about numbers but it would be nice to have a few more followers. I do try and get more followers/likes etc but I don't self promo too much but at the same I want to grow.

I have thought about blogging full time but I don't think its for me I think I'd get bored and I wouldn't know where to start with being self employed etc. I don't have a schedule either and it would be hard to keep throwing post after post out. I enjoy what I do now and I think my blog will always be a hobby.

Another thing is I don't know much about having a domain or buying a layout I've looked at some and I don't get why they're so expensive? I don't think my layout is bad but I do want to change it but I don't know how I wish I had a blogging friend who could help. I also didn't/don't really understand this GDPR malarkey I did write a privacy policy but I've no idea if it's right or not my blog is still here so maybe it is who knows!.

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: CAREERS

It's been a long time since I've written a let's chat post as i couldn't think of any subjects but then it came to me I haven't chatted about careers. So today I'm going to chat about the jobs I've had and share my stories and experiences.

As many know I've struggled with employment ever since i left school and if you're a regular reader then you'll know what it's been like. Anyway I have only had temp jobs in shops which aren't the best but it was money. I've had help from Shaw trust in the past but I don't get any now which is kinda annoying because the jobcentre are useless.

I feel like I try my best and I apply for jobs I can do but I either don't hear, hear back and it's a no or I get a interview and again it's a no. I don't understand how I'm meant to get a job if I can't get any more experience? I have skills and I can work in a shop but they make a simple job sound so hard that even though a monkey could do it. I might not have a lot of years of experience but I've worked in a shop, I've worked on tills and I've shelf filled it's just frustrating that I can't get a chance.

Another thing is now a days retail jobs are small hours such as 4/8/10hours etc which is stupid when you get buses. Also what else is annoying is they require late nights/evenings and again that's not possible. Finding a job is difficult now and sometimes I think I might have one if I could drive but also I might not.

Job Hunting Tips

1.Update your CV.

2.Look everyday.

3.Use various sites.

4. Don't give up!.

5.Apply for what you can even if it's something different.

6.Be positive!.

7.Don't get down if you keep getting no's just keep looking!.

8.Approach companies.

9.Be prepared for interviews.

10.Believe in yourself.

BEING A GIRL IS HARD

This post idea came to me while I was eating my dinner random I know anyway I thought I would share how hard it is being a girl. Sometimes it is, well ok all the time it's not easy and us girls have to deal with so much stuff eg periods, men, weight etc. So I thought I'd how hard it is being a girl if you relate please leave a comment I always reply.

Periods
These are every girls nightmare I can't remember when I first started but they were heavy, uncomfortable and just horrible. Then I came on the pill and ever since then they've been lighter and less frequent which is good. I don't get a huge amount of pain these days but they're still uncomfortable.

Weight
Society is screwed up diets, weight loss and quick fixes are EVERYWHERE which makes us think we need to be the perfect size but there really isn't one. We don't need to lose weight because society deems us too big or too small or we can't wear that outfit because it shows lumps and bumps. It doesn't matter what the label in your clothes saids, as long as you're happy. Don't listen to anyone who puts you down about your body or your weight, you are YOU and you're fabulous!.

Sex
There is pressure to have sex these days it's everywhere magazines, online etc but there's no reason to do it if you're not ready. Don't feel the need to do it just to fit in with your friends because it doesn't matter if you're waiting.

Shaving
This is a nightmare! along with periods! I'm sure I'm not alone with this but shaving is just annoying! but I'm glad it's autumn now so I don't have to shave my legs lol. It's still a pain in the summer though constantly remembering to shave.

Make Up
Some girls wear it, some don't and that's okay too! it doesn't matter if you're a fan or not a fan of make up. I'm a huge fan and I always feel better when I've put some on. Obvs I have makeup free days and I do go out like that because I don't care what people think. You don't have to wear make up everyday to be beautiful.

I hope you liked this post

If you relate to any please leave a comment I always reply.

WHY I LIKE BEING SINGLE

My last relationship was in 2014/2015 and ever since then I've been single and to be honest I've had no interest in dating or anything. So I thought I'd share why I like being single and if you relate then leave a comment I always reply.

1.You don't have to explain it's your time of the month every time (they don't get it anyway!).

2.More cash for make up, days out, clothes etc.

3.Nights in to watch documentaries, films, TV series etc on Netflix.

4.No make up days FTW!

5.You don't have to share food! haha lol.

6.More time to go out with your friends.

7.Time to hang out with your cat.(yes I'm one of them people! no shame)

8.Extra pamper sessions/self care.

9.You don't have to watch the football/any sport.

10.Enjoy spending time with your friends/family/yourself.

IT DOESN'T MATTER

This idea came to me on my way to work today on the bus lol random I know but I think it will help others.
Do you ever feel like your blog isn't good enough? do you feel like you should be posting certain content? well let me tell you, you don't need to be like that! your blog is for you to post whatever topics you want such as life posts, make up, fashion, taboo subjects whatever YOU want!. This is why I'm writing this post to tell you it doesn't matter if you don't have this or do that etc.

                                                      It doesn't matter if.....

Your blog isn't as fancy as bigger bloggers.

You don't own an expensive camera to take photos

You don't own marble backgrounds....just go to a DIY shop and tear of wallpaper samples! #win

Your Instagram doesn't have a theme

You don't have 1,000's of followers on twitter/Instagram/Facebook c'mon let's be honest we don't even know them!.

You don't own designer clothes, make up etc just because other bloggers do it doesn't mean they've paid for it! don't buy things just to fit it.

Your content is different.

You take photos with your iPhone/other phone.

You don't take photos of your food! JUST EAT IT BEFORE IT GETS COLD!.

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: CONFIDENCE

I've always lacked confidence, I don't crave to be the most confident person in the world but sometimes it would be nice to have more. I have gained some over the years from volunteering and other retail jobs.So I thought I'd share how I got through life and give you some tips.
School/College
I was very shy and quiet at school I didn't have a lot of friends and lacked confidence so I was left out of things. I didn't want to be the most confident but I guess I wanted to fit it and have friends but it wasn't easy. College was a bit better the last course I did was a computer one and I made friends on that (they aren't my friends now). There was one person I clicked with but we aren't friends anymore we had a laugh together but she deleted me off social media and that was that.
Jobs
I gained confidence from working at M&S at Christmas in 2015 I was mostly working on the tills and doing shelf filling. I did talk to the customers more and I also helped them if they couldn't find anything. I did enjoy it but not so much where it was (Chelmsford) and also I'm not keen on Christmas jobs. I am now at B&M through Shaw trust (don't ask I don't get it either) but it's money and experience. I have gained so much more confidence since being there and I am talking to more people and making friends .I didn't really gain any confidence at my last job as a marketing assistant at a probate company I felt a lot more pressured and overall it was very difficult. I did quite like the idea of Monday to Friday so maybe I'll look for a role that does that but at the moment I'm unsure of what I want to do.

Volunteering
Way back in 2010 I started volunteering at Each which was pretty scary for me as this was something I'd never thought about doing until mencap suggested it. I was nervous and worried about it, at times I felt like giving up but I didn't and I'm glad!. I do wonder where I'd be if I hadn't of taken it up. I was very quiet, shy and reserved at first and didn't say a lot, but as time went on I came out my shell and now I'm a cheeky bugger and never shut up!. It's made a huge difference to me and I can't believe I'm still there 7 years later!.
Fragile X
I think having Fragile x makes things harder as well but I do believe I've over come most things since school I definitely feel more confident in myself now than I did. I do get those days when I don't feel very confident but most of the time I'm ok. I guess having support helps a lot too and people around me who believe in me I am grateful to everyone who has supported me and still does!.

My Top 10 Tips On Gaining Confidence
1.Be yourself!
2.It takes time to gain confidence so don't beat yourself up if things don't go right.
3.If you're unsure of something at work, school, college etc then ask I know it's hard I've been there but it will help you in the long run and the more you do it, it will come naturally.
4.Take up volunteering it really does help to meet people and talk to them. This has made a huge difference to me I'm glad I started way back in 2010 I was 20 :O haha gone so quick.
5.Surround yourself with positive people.
6.Put on your make up and best outfit (this does help honest!)
7.If you get an opportunity take it! such as a new job even if you're not very confident at first it will soon get easier and you'll be a whizz! Since I was at M&S and now I'm at B&M I've definitely gained a lot more confidence in myself.
8.Never give up
9.Make a confidence playlist on Spotify and have a good old sing!
10.Don't let anyone bring you down just keep doing you.

I hope this post has helped you in some ways.

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: RELATIONSHIPS

School And College
I wasn't one of these girls to get a boyfriend through school like most of my friends did I hated school and didn't really feel like I fitted in. I was shy, quiet and I got bullied a lot but when I went to college, I met my first boyfriend at 18 and at the time I was happy. I guess I got caught up in the whole I've got a boyfriend now but didn't really know how to go about it if that makes sense? It didn't last, we never really saw each other and mostly spoke on msn and that's how he dumped me.

Online Dating
I have joined other online dating apps in the past such as Tinder, but I never found anyone on them or most just wanted sex.... anyway, I met my 2nd online on a site called Meetme I can't remember the year; he lived in London, and I live in Essex, so it wasn't really ideal. I was so happy and thought I'd found the one but again it didn't last long, and he dumped me by text yes text message. I wasn't ready for sex and that's why it ended. The relationship itself was just shit we never really spent time together and when we did it was always with his friends it just felt like he didn't care (he probably didn't). I have learnt so much from it this relationship it made me feel out of place and really awkward like I couldn't be myself.

Work/Volunteering
I met my last boyfriend at volunteering in 2013 and we got together in 2014 we spent as much time together as possible the first few months were good. After we'd been together a year, he ended it which was so unexpected. We did so many things together and I was very happy with him, but it just didn't work out how I wanted. If I'm honest I did feel awkward sometimes when we used to see each other at volunteering I never really spoke to him or kissed him in front of people, I think I was worried about being judged or doing something wrong. I sometimes see him in town, but he doesn't speak.

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: BULLYING

I had a tough time at school, I was bullied a lot I never really fitted in or had friends and I just hated school it wasn't a great time for me. I found school hard, the work was difficult and as I have Fragile X Syndrome this made things even harder I was always left out,no one wanted to be my friend and I always on my own. I got bullied by this girls best friend who didn't like me being friends with her friend she called me troll and I just took it and did nothing because I wasn't confident enough to speak up. I felt unhappy, lonely, sad and all I wanted was to fit in and have friends.

When I did a computer course at college I had a best friend and we always had fun, went places, had sleepovers. After sometime we drifted apart and she deleted me off social media I do miss her sometimes as we had a lot of fun and made good memories. I know that happens to everyone so I'm not dwelling on it. A lot of the girls in my year were all stuck up and so bitchy and everyone was labelled eg the geeks, the popular's etc. I never had a boyfriend through school I know it wasn't important but I guess at times I felt left out because everyone else had one.

I do find it hard to make friends but once you get to know me I do come out my shell even if it takes me a while. It's not easy as I am quite shy/quiet but over time I've gotten more confident since being at volunteering for the past 6 years. Even since blogging I've not really made any friends from it as I find it difficult and when I do try message others they don't respond.

There's bullying everywhere these days school, work, online and I think online bullying has gotten worse. There are so many trolls out there making fake accounts just to say nasty things. Also body shamming is just as bad we see it everywhere magazines, Instagram, etc but there's no need for it. Since I made my blog I've not had any nasty comments which I thought I'd get but I know I could still get them.

If you are or know anyone who is being bullied then speak out, talk to a teacher, family member someone you can trust. I've put some info down below should you need it.

LET'S CHAT ABOUT: PERIODS

Today I'm talking about periods or in other words mother nature! haha. Periods don't really get talked about much these days. The always or Tampax adverts are so false and make periods look fun which I'm pretty sure no girl has EVER said.

I don't remember when I started my period I might've been 11 or 12 I'm not sure I was quite heavy then and they used to last about 5 days. It wasn't fun at school or college when being on your period when you have to change your pad etc.

When I had a job last month (I'm not there anymore) my period came the week I started which wasn't ideal. My period always falls when I don't want it which is a huge inconvenience I do delay it sometimes but not very often.

The week before my due I'm normally moody, eat whatever I want and more and feel unmotivated and don't want to do anything. It's pretty much the same for the whole 3 days my periods here. I get tummy pains, achy boobs, achy vagina and just feel so meh and wish I didn't have to have periods. It would be so much easier if all girls got a text saying you're not pregnant have a nice day!. Also I think tampons/pads should have vouchers for money off chocolate or ice cream.

I've never tried tampons and I don't think I ever will I don't like the idea of inserting it into my vagina. I've always used pads and get on fine with them I used to only buy the ones without wings but now I like them! (they're more practical!). I normally live in my pyjamas, leggings or some sort of comfy wear when it's my time of the month as they're way more comfortable than jeans how can anyone wear jeans?!?.

I hope you liked this post.

Let me know if you relate to any of this by leaving a comment I'd love to hear.

LET'S HAVE A CHAT: MY EXPERIANCE ON THE PILL

*Disclaimer* I'm not an medical expert this is just my experience as I explain further in this post everyone is different.

I didn't really know a lot about the pill before I came on it as sex wasn't something and still kinda of isn't something I am thinking about. At the time I'd not thought about losing my virginity and nor was I in a relationship. My first relationship was with a boy from college way back in 2009 we hardly spent anytime together, we never had sex and well it just didn't last I was heartbroken at the time (but bare in mind I was only 18!).

At the time it was my mums idea that I should go on the pill as I was now in a relationship, though I was adamant at first and didn't think I needed to. After sometime I soon came round to the idea and went to the doctors and I got put on Rigevidon.

I take my pill every night I'm not very forgetful but I have missed it maybe once or twice but I just take it the next morning and I'm fine it just means I take 2 pills on that day. Sometimes I go over to another pack as I don't want my period at that particular time. I just go over to another pack I did this over December as it was my birthday and Christmas but then it came when I started my new job which wasn't ideal.

I go to the doctors for regular checks which are important so you know you're on the right pill, they also check your weight, height and blood pressure. If you do get any problems then it's best to speak to your GP about things everyone is different and there are many other pills and conception out there. If you miss a pill and are unsure then again seek advice from your doctor.

I hope you liked this post and leave a comment of your experiences I'd be interested to hear.

LET'S CHAT SERIES

After watching Brogan Tate's and Grace Victory's YouTube videos on their pill experiences I decided to start a series on my blog about my own experiences. So I'm going to be talking about relationships, sex, body image, periods and bullying and anything else that springs to mind.

I will try to post as often as I can I will be making a schedule which I hope to stick to!. I'm excited to share different things on my blog, I've been thinking about it for ages but never had the guts to but now's the time. I think these subjects don't get talked about often and I'm keen to make them more aware and to help others too.

I will also try and talk more about Fragile X but as I have 9 posts already I've most probably mentioned everything so that might be a tricky!. I do want to write more about it but it's difficult as I always feel like I'm repeating myself!.

I hope you enjoy my little series don't forget to follow my blog and all social media so you don miss any posts!. If this goes well I will be doing another one at some point!, well if I keep up with posting etc.

ADVICE ON STARTING A NEW JOB

Now that I've started a new job in marketing (I never thought I'd be doing that!) I thought I would share my tips and advice on starting a new job. I've been in my job a week so far and it's taking me some time to settle in etc I wrote about my first week here if you want to read it. http://sarahbobbeal.blogspot.co.uk/2017/01/new-job-week-one.html

1.Get prepared the night before so find what you're going to wear depending on the job for example in an office you'd wear black trousers, smart top, black shoes and a cardigan this would be similar if you had a retail role. Thought some places will have uniforms such as supermarkets and some retail shops so you will be given one as and when you start.

2.Set your alarm for the morning but DON'T snooze it.

3.You won't pick things up right away but these things take time so be patient it doesn't matter how long it takes you will get there eventually.

4.It's ok to be nervous we all have them they will soon pass when you start to get used to it.

5.Ask questions if you're unsure of something or need them to repeat the task don't be afraid.

6.Make your lunch the night before and take any snacks you want. Also take a bottle of water with you in your bag.

7.DON'T be late on your first day if you're going to be late for whatever reason let your boss know asap. Though you shouldn't really be late on your first day or any day to be honest unless there's an accident or something you can't help that.

8.Don't give up if things don't go well the first week it's all new and it takes time to settle in.

9.Check bus/train times if you have to travel or if you drive make sure you have enough petrol. Leave plenty of time so you're not late it's better to be early than late.

10. Last of all stay positive you will pick things up eventually.

Thanks for reading and I hope you find this post useful!
let me know in the comments.

10 THINGS I'VE LEARNED SINCE BLOGGING

1.Don't compare yourself to others it's not worth it and most of the time people's lives aren't as great as they make out so don't worry and stop comparing.

2.Don't think that just because most bloggers have fancy instagram pictures and marble tables or what not to take pictures think that you need to buy them just because they have them, why be the same? don't do something just to fit in BE YOU. My pictures are only taken on my iPhone I'd thought about buying a camera but didn't think I'd use it enough and I don't think iPhone pictures are bad but maybe one day I'll a camera..

3.My blog is good enough and there's no point in getting blogger envy it won't change anything and it's a huge waste of time!.

4.You can't worry about comments, views, followers etc (on social media too) because numbers are just numbers I used to care about them and wanted more but the point is blogging makes me happy. It doesn't matter how many twitter or instagram followers you have because to be honest you don't even know any of them so it's not hugely important.

5.Don't blog about things that don't interest you or to fit in people will notice so just be yourself and write about the things you like.

6.Don't think that you've got to use/buy expensive makeup or skincare products because there's no point if you know you can't afford them. I've never bought mac or benefit and to be honest it doesn't appeal to me I'd rather be able to get more than just one thing with my money.

7.Being creative with your content brings people back and it's always good to have fun with pictures etc.

8.Post as often as you can because it will keep people reading and they'll keep coming back if they like your content but it's ok to take a break sometimes.

9.Things take time,it took me a while to get going but it's a great achievement when you reach goals like I recently reached 10,000 views on my blog and I just can't believe that! I don't have a lot of followers but to know 10,000 people read my blog is just amazing!

10.Keep going, keep posting, don't give up and most important be yourself.
